Tessa Hyndman is an interdisciplinary artist currently living and working in Minneapolis, where they are completing a BFA in Painting and Drawing at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. In her work, she is most interested in how we can press thought through feeling, unearthing and then playing with the absurdity that lies within the pulp of a memory, and folding that into something preservable. Her practice moves between drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, and print. With a visual language that draws on magical realism, familial folklore and a phenomenological framework, they work to form liminal capsules that take the shape of fear and intimacy, grief and love.
