Tessa Hyndman is an interdisciplinary artist currently living and working in Minneapolis, where she is completing a BFA in Painting and Drawing at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. In her work, she is most interested in how we can press thought through feeling, unearthing and then playing with the absurdity that lies within the pulp of a memory, and folding that into something preservable. Her practice moves between drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, and print. She works with a visual language that draws on phenomenological theories, metaphysics, magical realism, and familial folklore, to form liminal capsules that take the shape of fear and intimacy, grief and love.
